Ready to use, radiopaque, premixed, calcium hydroxide paste with barium sulphate is a creamy paste used as a liner or as a temporary dressing.
INDICATIONS FOR USE:
- Pulp capping
- Capping after pulpotomy
- Dentine – protective and neutralizing cavity liner
Features
- Owing to its high alkalinity (PH12), it chemically neutralizes the acids from cements, and prevents them from reaching the pulp
- Does not affect the quality of the filling when applied in a thin layer and dried with an air jet so as to speed up its dehydration
- It reduces the hypersensitivity of the dentine and helps the neoformation of secondary dentine
Instruction to Use
Step 1: After root canal preparation, rinse and dry the canal gently
Step 2: Insert the tip of the syringe into the root canal
Step 3: Apply calcium hydroxide with barium sulphate by compressing the syringe piston gently and smoothly
Step 4: Withdraw the syringe gently when the paste fills the canal completely
Step 5: Remove excess calcium hydroxide with barium sulphate on the tooth surface
Step 6: Remove the disposable tips on the syringe, close the cap tightly and store in a cool place
